Danielle Dunfield-Prayero is an accomplished international businesswoman, UK political campaigner, and passionate sportswoman with a proven track record of delivering results and driving collaboration. Combining strategic insight with hands-on leadership, she navigates complex challenges to achieve impactful outcomes.
Danielle's career began in the City of London, where she spent a decade in senior roles at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, ING, and CDC IXIS (now LCF Rothschild Midcaps), honing her expertise in global finance. She later transitioned to international business development at Skarbek Associates, partnering with British embassies and high commissions to promote UK trade and export, empowering SMEs to expand globally.
As CEO of The Great Sussex Way, Danielle led a post-pandemic recovery initiative that revitalised local businesses, increased footfall, and created jobs. She collaborated with nearly 1,000 companies and demonstrated her ability to craft innovative, practical solutions that deliver measurable impact.
In 2024, Danielle was the Conservative Party's Parliamentary Candidate for Wimbledon. Three former Prime Ministers—Lord Cameron, Baroness May, and Rishi Sunak MP—joined her on the campaign trail. During the campaign, she joined Medical Life Lines Ukraine and drove an ambulance packed with critical aid to Lviv. This unforgettable experience reflects her commitment to making a difference on a global scale and protecting democracy despite its messiness.
Committed to public service, Danielle is collaborating with senior Conservatives, including Lord McLoughlin, Lord Booth, and Matt Vickers MP, to assess the Party's 2024 electoral defeat, a process now guided by Kemi Badenoch MP, Leader of the Opposition, former Business & Trade Secretary, and Wimbledon resident. She actively supports the Conservative Women's Organisation, Women2Win, and the Conservative Friends of Neurodiversity, championing inclusion and advocating for young people, particularly those with learning differences.
Danielle, a former Team GB triathlete and two-time World Championships representative, embodies resilience and determination. She is passionate about fostering entrepreneurship and committed to helping SMEs invest, innovate, and trade. She is also focused on rebuilding trust between the business community and the Conservative Party, leading to the creation of Conservatives For Business.
Inspired by leaders like Baroness Brady and her father, a pioneering research scientist and entrepreneur, Danielle is driven to create opportunities for the next generation. She holds two master's degrees—one in social and political sciences from the University of Cambridge and another in business from the University of Bath.
Born in New York and raised in Holland, Danielle brings a global perspective to everything she does. She lives in England with her husband, Gordon; their three energetic sons—Oscar, Hugo, and Theo; and their beloved labradoodle, Strider.
