About Danielle

Danielle Dunfield-Prayero is an accomplished international businesswoman, UK political campaigner, and passionate sportswoman, with a strong record of delivery and collaboration. Known for combining strategic vision with hands-on leadership, she thrives in complex environments and is driven by achieving practical, meaningful outcomes.

Danielle began her career in the City of London, spending a decade in senior roles at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, ING, and CDC IXIS (now LCF Rothschild Midcaps), where she developed deep expertise in global finance and capital markets. She later moved into international business development at Skarbek Associates, working closely with British embassies and high commissions to promote UK trade and exports, supporting small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to expand internationally.

As CEO of The Great Sussex Way, Danielle led a post-pandemic recovery strategy that revitalised local high streets, increased visitor numbers, and supported job creation. By engaging with more than 1,000 businesses, she demonstrated a strong ability to design and deliver innovative, commercially grounded solutions with measurable economic impact.

In 2024, Danielle stood as the Conservative Party's Parliamentary Candidate for Wimbledon, joined on the campaign trail by senior figures including Lord Cameron, Baroness May, and Rishi Sunak MP. During this period, she also partnered with Medical Life Lines Ukraine, personally driving an ambulance carrying vital aid to Lviv—an experience that reinforced her commitment to international responsibility and the defence of democracy, however messy it might be.

Following the election, Danielle worked with senior Conservatives including Lord McLoughlin, Lord Booth, and Julian Ellacott on the Party's post-2024 election review, later taken forward by Kemi Badenoch MP, Leader of the Opposition, former Secretary of State for Business and Trade, and a Wimbledon resident. She remains involved via the Conservative Policy Forum and Women2Win.

A former Team GB triathlete and two-time World Championships competitor, Danielle exemplifies resilience, discipline, and determination. Passionate about making the UK the best place in the world to start, scale, and succeed in business—and about rebuilding trust between the business community and the Conservative Party—she co-founded and chairs the Conservatives For Business platform. She also serves on The Jobs Foundation's Business Council and Centre for Policy Studies' Economic Policy Group.

Inspired by leaders such as Baroness Brady and by her father, a pioneering British research scientist and entrepreneur, Danielle is super motivated by creating opportunities for our next generation. She holds two master's degrees: one in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge and another in Business from the University of Bath.

Born in New York and raised in Holland, Danielle brings a genuinely global outlook. She lives in England with her husband, Gordon; their three energetic sons—Oscar, Hugo, and Theo; and their much-loved labradoodle, Strider.
